The Daughters of Penelope of Stark County, Ohio, are presenting their 42nd Annual Debutantes’ Ball on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church at 251 – 25th Street, NW, Canton.
There will be a social hour for the Debutantes, their escorts and their immediate families from 7 to 8pm.
The Ball begins at 8pm and ends at Midnight. Dancing will be to Karizma. The presentation of the Debutantes will be at 9pm.
The Debutantes, their escorts and the Debutantes parents and their schools follow:
- Anastasia Marie Bendetta. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Bendetta. Her escort is Spyro Spondyl. Anastasia attends GlenOak High School.
- Dora Marie Bichara. Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kamal Bichara. Her escort is Stephen Karapasha. She attends Jackson High School.
- Alexandra Marie Carpathios, daughter of Mr. Neil Carpathios and Mrs. Danielle Swinderman. Her escort is George Yelichek. Alexandra attends Jackson High School.

The net proceeds from the Debutantes’ Ball go into the Daughters of Penelope Scholarship Fund. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded this Spring to two of the above Debutantes who meet the qualifications of merit and and/or need. Three judges are selected from the community consisting of industry, education and judicial fields who will select the finalists, do the interviewing and make the final decision on the scholarship awards.
